
A tranquil and relaxing town, Amamoor projects a fresh and distinctive country experience. On any day quietness is only broken by the sound of birds whistling and children playing.

In August each year this community comes alive with some 60,000 visitors for the National Country Music Muster. Country music enthusiasts from all over Australia visit Amamoor to experience what has become a week long event which offers different music venues onsite for the one ticket price.
The Amamoor Creek State Forest Park is dominated by ironbarks and blue gums. The venue is used all year by visitors and campers enjoying the open grassy surroundings.

Close by is Cedar Grove State Forest Park, situated in a rainforest area noted for its red cedar trees.
Amama State Forest Park is an ideal place for picnics, and gives the bushwalker a taste of sub-tropical rainforest with a range of ferns, vines, palms, rainforest trees and waterfalls.
Amamoor’s rustic history is relived as the Valley Rattler Steam Train visits several times a week. Tourists experience an historic train ride and can visit the Amamoor Railway Country Craft Shop to view Muster merchandise, local arts and crafts and Rattler souvenirs.
The Annual Draught Horse Day shows valuable skills of years gone by when this area had strong timber and dairy, tropical fruit and vegetable industries.
