
Lake Borumba is the perfect spot for picnics, barbecues, swimming, fishing and camping. The lake is home to Golden Perch, Australian Bass, Saratoga and the Mary River Cod. Recreational boating and water skiing are also very popular.

Borumba Dam is a water catchment area and the only man made dam in South East Queensland surrounded by mountains, perfect for outdoor activities. The lake area is central to many leisure activities. Go bait, lure or fly fishing for the popular saratogas, bass or perch with a permit available from Imbil. Native wildlife is abundant and the hills are home to red deer.
Enjoy canoeing, skiing or recreational boating and sailing on Lake Borumba or explore the beauty of Yabba Creek by canoe. Three excellent camping resorts are located on Yabba Creek providing easy access and a relaxing holiday alternative.
Camping is available at Borumba Dam and at the nearby Borumba Deer Park. Contact the Borumba Deer Park on 07 5484 5196 for information and bookings for both the Borumba Campground and for the Borumba Deer Park.
Farm stay, bed and breakfast, cabins and motel accommodation are also available within a short distance of the township.
